During THE PROFIT's first five week run, movie goers had a lot of questions for the film makers. Many of these questions were asked repeatedly, so we will try to answer them here for our
website visitors.

1.) Q: Is The Profit movie about Scientology?

     A: THE PROFIT is a work of fiction that attempts to explain how a con man can use mind control to effectively form/lead a group of deluded adherents. This story is not a new one, but it's rarely told on film. Any corrolations between this story and Scientology is purely coincidental.

2.) Q: Are we connected to Scientology in any way?

     A: NO! The film makers are clearly against any criminal cult mind-manipulation organizations that call themselves a religion.

3.) Q: How much truth is there to The Profit film?

     A: The story behind THE PROFIT, although a work of fiction, has been carefully researched to reflect a true and accurate scenario of how a cult leader would use his mind control tactics to gain power over his group.

4.) FAQ: During "The Profit's" eight week test run, Do you have any plans to release the film outside of Florida?

     A: At the moment we are self-distributing THE PROFIT and YES, we plan to release it in many locations.

5.) Q: Are you against religion?

     A: NO, we are not against religion. THE PROFIT actually reveals how certain unsavory, ill-intentioned "thought reform groups" get away with calling themselves a religion.

6.) Q: Where did the factual content come from, what research went into the movie?

     A: The screenwriter, Peter Alexander, aside from being a former cult member, did intense research into mind control cults in order to best explain how this works within the confines of a 2 hour movie.

7.) Q: Are the news archives actual footage and reports, or are they made up?

     A: From the time we were 3 weeks into shooting THE PROFIT, we were harassed by Scientologists who attempted to intimidate the crew and libel the film makers. They contacted our clients and vendors using Private Investigators who attempted to scare them or persuade them not to work with us. The film makers were followed by Scientologists and Private Investigators for several months, from Florida to California to Europe. Therefore, the news coverage of these events are not only true, but they only show a small percentage of the harassment experienced by the production crew both during production and post production.

8.) Where can I see "The Profit?

A. The Profit is currently blocked from release by an injunction obtained by the Scientology cult from a Pinellas County Florida Judge. This injunction constitutes prior restraint of free speech, and is a violation of the Constitution of the United States. However, until the film makers get it lifted, you'll have to wait to see "The Profit." Please keep checking our website and we'll give you an update when the injunction is lifted.
